We are participating in the CHOC Walk in the Park on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Disneyland®Resort.
Please join us in our efforts to raise needed funds to support the care, services, education and research that CHOC Children’s provides children in our community.
Your support is needed more than ever, as funds from this amazing fundraiser support the care and treatment of Southern California's children. For over 50 years, CHOC Children's has stood as a distinguished non-profit children's hospital, committed to providing the highest quality medical care to all children, no matter what their family's financial capacity. In 1964, CHOC broke ground on the original campus in the city of Orange with one mission: to nurture, advance and protect the health and well-being of children. No child is ever turned away.
Your support will help ensure our kids’ futures will be brighter than ever.
Our very special connection to CHOC this year
Ms. Karen has been at Hermosa Drive for 10 years. Her 5-year-old nephew, Colin, was diagnosed with cancer 6 months ago. He sadly pasted away in late July. He received his treatments at CHOC so this year we wanted to do our CHOC Walk in honor of Colin. Colin was an active boy who loved surfing, baseball, soccer, painting and even cooking. When he was going through treatments he would have painting parties at his house with all his friends. He had lots of friends and loved school. Colin was granted a wish from the Make-A-Wish foundation to go to Walt Disney World with his best friend, Brooklyn. He was happy and spunky until the end. Oh, and he was the loudest singer.
