How long is the Walk in terms of miles?

Every year the distance varies slightly but averages 3 miles or 5k.

Does Walk registration include admission to Disneyland® or Disney California Adventure®?

CHOC is thrilled to have a partner like the Disneyland® Resort and honored that they host the CHOC Walk every year. The park is closed to the general public the morning of the CHOC Walk and will open shortly after the Walk is finished. Walk registration does not include entry to the park for the day. However, on Walk day only, special priced CHOCtober Disneyland® Resort tickets are available for purchase for all CHOC Walk participants. Ticket information COMING SOON!

How do I get my Walk t-shirt and wristband?

If you registered as a "Busy Bear", your CHOC Walk t-shirt and wristband will be mailed to you prior to Walk Day. All other CHOC Walk participants will be required to "Check-In" prior to the Walk to turn in cash and checks collected as well as pick up their their t-shirt & wristband (for entry). Please refer to the CHOC Walk Check-in calendar for times and location. CHOC sets up a temporary CHOC Walk Office before the Walk in the CHOC Commerce Tower located at 505 S Main St Orange, CA 92868.

What is the minimum I need to raise in order to participate in the Walk?

$85 is required for EACH Walker. Walkers can fundraise the amount or make a personal donation. Walkers can make a donation on their own behalf or any combination thereof. We encourage our Walkers to use their Participant Center and to download the CHOC Walk FUNdraiser app to assist them in their fundraising efforts.

What is the age limit for children to walk for free?

Children two (2) and under can join the walk without a minimum $85 and do not require a Walk wristband. They will not receive an official Walk t-shirt or wristband. Children three (3) and over are required to raise a minimum of $85 to participate in the CHOC Walk and will receive prizes based on the amount they raise.

Website & Registration

Am I able to use my login information from a previous year?

Yes. If you remember your login information from last year, you will be able to access all your participant information and your team information if you were the team captain. If you are having trouble or can't remember, please contact us at 714.509.8690 or email us at chocwalk@choc.org.

Can I use a third party check for my $85.00 participation?

Third party checks may not be used to register as a participant to the CHOC Walk. However, they may be used to sponsor a Walker. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the CHOC Walk office by email at chocwalk@choc.org.

What if I make a mistake and donate to a team instead of registering to be a walker?

For assistance please contact the CHOC Walk office by email at chocwalk@choc.org. We will be able to assist you in making the correction.

Online registration ends 8:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 or when capacity is reached.

If I want to make a donation by check, who do I make the check out to?

Please make checks payable to: CHOC Children’s or CHOC Children’s Foundation.

Can I deliver my donations to CHOC or drop them off somewhere?

Yes. Donations can be dropped off at the CHOC Foundation office located in the CHOC Commerce Tower at 505 South Main Street, Suite 800, Orange, California, 92686. The CHOC Foundation office is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.  The temporary CHOC Walk office will open mid October for CHOC Walk check-in. CHOC Walk Office Hours.

Can I still collect cash or check donations?

Yes. Walkers can post all cash and checks collected to their account through their Participant Center by clicking the "Enter Cash & Checks" tab. Bring all cash and checks collected to CHOC Walk check-in and a volunteer will confirm your offline donations.

What is corporate matching?

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match any charitable contributions made by their employees. To qualify for prizes, matching gifts must be received by CHOC no later than November 15, 2016.

How will CHOC donations and registration fees through the website show up on my bank account?

Blackbaud processes online transactions on behalf of the CHOC Children's Foundation and will show on your bank statement.

Event Day

Can I rent a wheelchair or stroller?

Strollers and wheelchairs will not be available for rental from Disneyland® Resort. Personal strollers and wheelchairs are allowed.

Can I bring my pet?

Animals are not allowed in the parks, however, registered service animals are.

Can I use a skateboard or other vehicle?

Skateboards, roller skates, bicycles, and scooters are not permitted.

Where is the CHOC Walk held?

The CHOC Walk in the Park is held in the Disneyland® Resort, Disney's California Adventure® park and the Downtown Disney® District at 1313 S Disneyland Drive, Anaheim CA.

Can I wear a Halloween costume?

CHOC Walk participants will be allowed to wear costumes for the CHOC Walk but must adhere to the 2016 CHOC Walk in the Park presented by the Disneyland® Resort Costume Guidelines.

Where do I park for the event?

Free parking is available at the Disneyland® Resort beginning at 5:00 A.M. You will be directed by event signs into the appropriate lot.

If I arrive late, can I join the race at any time?

No one may begin the CHOC Walk after 8:00 AM. Walkers arriving after 7:30 AM will only be allowed entry into Disney's California Adventure® Park.

Post CHOC Walk

Can I continue to fundraise to earn prizes after the CHOC Walk?

Participants can continue to fundraise for prizes after Walk day. To qualify for prizes, Walkers may continue to use CHOC's online fundraising tools by directing friends, co-workers and family members to make a donation through their personal page on the CHOC Walk website. All online donations must be made on or before November 15, 2016 to qualify for prizes. Cash and checks can be mailed to the CHOC Foundation office and must be post marked no later than November 15, 2016.

When do my prizes arrive?

Prizes will be sent to the participant’s home via US Mail and Federal Express throughout the month of December including Disneyland® Resort Park Hopper® tickets. Walkers will receive their t-shirt and wristband at CHOC Walk Check-in. Please provide a current address and update us should you move. Please no P.O. Boxes
